The 5th on Location: City Edition
Here at the 5th we often bring you the stories behind the brands as we believe it’s important (and quite interesting) to learn about the trajectory of the brand and the clothing they produce. So we thought why not let you know a bit more about us...
The 5th is a Yorkshire based brand and as a result, we’re particularly passionate about showing off all the area has to offer. With that in mind, we thought where better to showcase some of our favourite city style brands and kick off the first in our 5th on Location series than Leeds City Centre. We love the urban landscape of the city, and found its various features - concrete, graffiti, greenery - to be the perfect backdrop for some of our best loved spring summer pieces.
To create the looks, we chose collections to compliment the location and reflect the streetwear theme including Kestin, Knickerbocker and Samsoe Samsoe. The Knickerbocker Shore Smock, pictured against the backdrop of Leeds’ Granary Wharf, offers a fresh take on the conventional fisherman style. Crafted from 100% cotton poplin, its lightweight fabric is great for staying cool while exploring the city.
Of course, no streetwear edit would be complete without trainers and the clean style of Novesta’s Star Dribble Hi Tops are the perfect antidote to the myriad of colours and textures that make up the Leeds cityscape. Pair with head to toe Kestin (pictured) for a contemporary look and slighter smarter take on streetwear’s tracksuit trend.
